WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER?
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Full individual, full organisational and student membership in EFAT may be granted to art therapists, professional art therapy associations and art therapy students respectively, from geographical and political Europe as listed in RIO. This includes art therapists living in European territory as well as citizens of European countries living in other parts of the world.
Affiliate membership can be granted regardless of nationality and/or residence.
- FULL INDIVIDUAL MEMBER: a person who has completed a formal, coherent and comprehensive art therapy training.

- PIONEER MEMBER: to a person who has contributed to the establishment of the AT profession in her/his country and/or a person who, in the early stages of development, have not been able to pursue formal AT training but have been actively involved in the AT practice for a substantial number of years.

- FULL ORGANISATIONAL MEMBER: a (national) professional association which represents the professional interests of AT practitioners in that country and which pursues professional goals as its social objectives. This excludes schools, training or research institutes, clinical centres and community centres offering AT training.

- STUDENT MEMBER: an art therapy student enrolled on a formal AT training in the current year.

- AFFILIATE MEMBER: an individual or organisation who is interested in supporting the causes of EFAT, or, an individual or organisation who do not yet fulfil the requirements for full membership.
