MISSION STATEMENT

  • The European Federation of Art Therapy aims to unite art therapists and professional art therapy associations in Europe;
  • ​It works actively to promote further development of professional practice, training and research, and the recognition of the profession;
  • It aims to nurture mutual respect of diversity and to foster collaboration and contributions between member countries;
  • It seeks to assure and promote the quality of Art Therapy practice and training for the benefit of clients, professionals and institutions;
  • The activities of the federation are ultimately for public benefit.

EFAT is a growing, vibrant community of art therapists from across Europe (and the world), built on the spirit of openness and mutual exchange and support. It strives through the voluntary contributions and activities of its members who dedicate their time and expertise to EFAT's Committees and share their professional knowledge and investigations in the numerous Special Interest and other working groups.
