• The date of the DATE was chosen in remembrance of the very first meeting of EFAT's precursor at a conference in Lucca, Italy: The Network of European Art Therapists (NEAT), an informal network began with a lunch meeting of art therapists from 7 European countries on 24th September 2011 and quickly grew to a group of 1-3 art therapists from each of the then 27 EU member states. ROMANIA: Terapie prin arta - plans a online workshop and Q&A session in Romanian language.

GERMANY: EFAT's current president Maria d'Elia presented the Day of Art Therapy in Europe at the 2.Nürnberger Forum für Kunsttherapie und Wissenschaft on 24th September 2022 in Nürnberg Germany to an audience of German art therapists.

MALTA: EFAT's ECO Art Therapy SIG planned a Walk with Art in Nature initiative to introduce eco and nature-based art therapy to the large public and/or to Mental Health professionals.

GREECE: Art Therapy Room offered a variety of free services throughout the Day of Art Therapy in Europe, celebrating one of many EFAT’s ventures for unity and growth of the profession.

SWITZERLAND: Vicky Tsiaousi ran an art therapy workshop at Cern Welcome Club for the employees of CERN and their partners. The theme of the workshop was inspired by the site of the organisation, https://home.cern, and it focused on the universe! What is your Universe made of?

LITHUANIA: The Lithuanian Art Therapy Association organized two panel discussions about art therapy - “Let's talk. Art therapy: myths, profession, possibilities” The first panel was about art therapy in non-traditional places (nature, museums, galleries, religious communities); the second one was about the art therapy profession and possibilities in Lithuania.
